Many of the churches in central Dublin own their existence to the five liberties of Dublin. Some of them are also related to earlier Christian churches and settlements near Áth Cliath and Dubhlinn. This talk explores those churches, many of which no longer exist, which were in the Liberties or associated with them.

Michael Flanagan was the Grandfather of former Taoiseach Liam Cosgrave, in his day what we now term a developer. I have heard this talk and it is excellent.

DECEMBER 9TH 2020, ONLINE VIDEO MEETING
Title: Mary Mulligan, Neighbour to Countess Markievicz

This talk tells about the cottage on Blackglen Road (Sandyford area) used as a retreat by Countess Markievicz to paint and then to plot her part in the Rebellion, plus the story of the local lady who lived next door before, during and after this time, and how they interacted.

You may remember that we had a considerable drought 2 years ago and it revealed additional remains at Newgrange. This talk will illustrate many of these findings and their wonder.
